Assessing urban landscape using Sentinel-2A images and Baidu street View

New data such as remote sensing images and Street View plays an increasingly important role in evaluating urban landscapes. This research is based on Sentinel-2A images and Baidu Street View photos as data sources to calculate Green Ratio Index (GRI) and Green View Index（GVI） ,and using GRI & GVI as tools to assess greenery of Guangzhou City. The results show that the landscape construction in Guangzhou is relatively high, and the GRI in the built-up area is 43% while the GVI is 28%.However, the landscape construction in the waterfront space and the traffic space is insufficient. In the future, it is necessary to further strengthen the landscape construction in these areas.
