Construction and Exploration of Public Planning Platform -- "Zhonggui Wuhan"

The complexity of modern cities severely challenges urban planning. Public interest has increasingly become an important factor of urban planning. The public has gradually changed from passive recipients of urban planning to participants. Urban planning has evolved into a collection of public wisdom. In order to promote the scientific and open urban planning, in January 2015，Wuhan Natural Resources and Planning Bureau launched the construction of the public planning platform of "Zhonggui Wuhan". Taking Wuhan Public Platform as an example, this paper makes an innovative attempt on public participation in urban planning by technical means, and shortcomings of public participation in urban planning are also discussed.
