The flow of population reflected the connection among cities. Based on the data of Wuhan metropolitan area of traffic flow intensity, the paper builds a relation model of cities and towns, analyzes the spatial characteristics of Wuhan metropolitan area. The paper discovers that Wuhan metropolitan area is at primary mono-centric stage of agglomeration. Due to these characteristics and the central China will confront great changes with “one belt, one road” strategy, the paper puts forward the planning suggestion, including further cooperation of each cities, construction of urban channel, reorganization of cities and towns, and creative utilization of resource.
