Whether the commercial facilities conform to the evolution characteristics of urban centers is an important topic in urban space research. Taking Wuhan as a case study, this paper analyzes the POI data of commercial facilities in Wuhan since 2011, taking the three major commercial facilities as examples, namely, supermarkets, catering facilities and hotels. By applying ARCGIS data analysis platform, the paper counts various commercial facilities space and visualizes its spatial distribution features. On this basis, the spatial distribution patterns of three types of commercial facilities in different historical periods are analyzed, together with the historical evolution characteristics of commercial facilities in different times. The study finds that the number of the distribution of facilities keeps increasing, the distribution characteristics of various facilities are different, and the spatial distribution of hotels, catering and supermarkets in Wuhan is in accordance with the urban center system. Finally, compared with Wuhan commercial network planning, the paper makes proposals on the optimization strategy according to the commercial quantity, location distribution, space system and business distribution.
