Population Spatio-temporal Aggregation Pattern of Small City: A Case Study on Shehong County Based on Baidu Heat Map

Baidu heat maps can be used to explore the pattern of how individual cit-izens conduct their activities and their agglomeration effects in the city scale. To investigate the spatio-temporal pattern of population aggregation and its relationship with land parcel attributes in small cities, we collected a weekday and a weekend data of Baidu heat map in Shehong County, and use Chi-square and Pearson correlation test to analyze the correlation between population aggregation and parcel. The research sug-gested that: (1) In most hours of the weekday，the degree of population aggregation is greater than in the weekends; the workday has more intense fluctuation of population aggregation as well. (2) In workday, people clustered and dispersed faster than weekend. (3) The correlation between the degree of population aggregation and the type of parcel is not significant. (4) The degree of population aggregation is positively corre-lated with POI density; floor area ratio; building density, and negatively correlated with parcel area.
