A Unified Scheme for Power System Transient Stability Simulation and Transient Stability Assessment

摘要
Transient stability assessment (TSA) is critical for power system stability analysis and control. Among all efforts to achieve TSA, the transient stability simulation(TSS) plays a fundamental role. In this paper, a unified scheme is proposed for TSS and TSA of numerous power system transient scenarios. The scheme mainly consists of two parts, which are responsible for TSS and TSA, respectively. In part 1, an enormous number of scenarios are automatically generated by Matlab codes and the PSD-BPA programs are called to perform simulations for each scenario. The interaction between the two platforms is harmonious and flexible, which greatly reduces the workload. In part 2, simulation results are analyzed to evaluate the transient stability of these scenarios. The work is efficiently and accurately achieved based on the phase-trajectory’ concave-convexity method. The unified scheme is finally tested in the IEEE 39-bus 10-machine power system, and the results show its high efficiency.
