A Universal Sweep Speed Correction Method for Optical Streak Camera

Optical streak camera is a recording device with ultra-high temporal resolution. It plays a very important role in the experimental diagnosis of high energy density physics and inertial confinement fusion, such as spectrum of scattered light, shock wave velocity and so on. In dynamic scanning mode, the scanning speed of streak camera inevitably has some distortion, which affects the time accuracy of measurement. We calibrate the sweep speed of optical streak camera by short pulse laser, get the full screen sweep speed by least square fitting, and then map the distorted pixels of the streak camera into a new uniform and non-distorted coordinate system by Legendre triangulation method, so as to eliminate the influence of sweep speed distortion on time accuracy.
