Understanding and Control of the Reaction Pathways in the Reaction Networks of Glucose Conversion System to Obtain Target Products with High Selectivity
摘要录用
Changwei Hu / Sichuan University
Lignocellulosic biomass is increasingly and widely perceived as a renewable resource rather than an organic solid waste today, as it could be converted into different kinds of chemicals [1]. The conversion of glucose to value-added chemicals is considered to bridging the petrol chemical industry and biorefinery, since cellulose, being one of the major component of lignocellulose, could be converted to glucose via hydrolysis. However, the glucose conversion system is very complex, and many possible parallel reaction pathways co-exist. Thus, the control of different reaction pathways in the reaction network is paramountly important for obtaining target product with high selectivity. This presentation will analyse the complex system and discuss some examples for obtaining high selectivity to HMF and related compounds.
1. The complexity of the glucose conversion system, including the complexity of the structure of glucose, the complexity of product, the complexity of the catalyst used, and the complexity of catalyst.
2. Control of the reaction pathways by inventing new catalysts and promoters.
3. Control of the reaction pathways by solvent effects and process alternation.
4. Concluding remarks and prospectives.
