In order to research the batch fermentation kinetics of cellobiase in a 5/L stirred bioreactor, cell growth, product formation and substrate consumption during the cellobiase fermentation were investigated by the kinetics model. The results showed that cell growth of recombinant Pichia pastoris presents partial correlation with cellobiase production indicated a partial coupling model. Based on the Logistic equation and Luedeking-Piret equation, the kinetics models for cell growth, cellobiase production and substrate consumption were established. And the optimal parameters in the above models had been obtained through the non-linear regression and mathematical derivation. The kinetics equations of cell growth, cellobiase production and substrate consumption, which could characterize the batch fermentation process of cellobiase bacteria , were determined.
