Analysis on the Needs of Chinese Second Language Learners for Chinese Language Proficiency Tests

Can current Chinese language proficiency tests meet the needs of second language learners of Chinese (Hereinafter referred to as "L2 learners")? After passing the exam and obtaining the corresponding certificate, does the language level of the L2 learner truly reach the corresponding level that declared by the certificate? In order to solve the above problems, this study conducted a survey for 200 Chinese L2 learners, analyzing their needs for Chinese language proficiency tests. Furthermore, the social and cultural background, language background, Chinese learning experience, experience of participating in Chinese Language proficiency tests and the purpose of participating in the test of the L2 learners are also investigated by the survey. At the same time, we hold an exam to measure the vocabulary level and reading level of the L2 learners. After completing the survey and the exam, we analyzed the relationship between the needs of Chinese L2 learners for Chinese Language proficiency tests and their language ability, social and cultural background, language background, Chinese learning experience, etc. in detail. Social network analysis techniques are also used to further explore and analyze the social ties between the L2 learners and analyze the underlying reasons behind the different needs of the L2 learners.
现有的汉语测试是否能满足中文第二语言学习者(简称“L2学习者”)的需求?在通过考试并取得相应的等级证书后,L2学习者是否达到了与等级相匹配的语言水平?为解决上述问题,本研究制定L2学习者中文学习情况调查问卷,对200名L2学习者的语言测试需求进行了分析,同时调查了L2学习者的社会文化背景、语言背景、中文学习经历、中文测验经验和参与测验的目的等相关内容。同时,我们还制定试卷,对200名L2学习者的词汇量水平和阅读水平进行了测量。在完成调查和测验后,我们对L2学习者语言测试需求及其语言能力和相关信息之间的关系进行了细致的分析,并使用社会网络分析技术探查和分析L2学习者之间的社会纽带模式,分析被试不同需求背后的深层原因。
