Analysis of the Current Situation and Countermeasures of ESP in Applied Universities

The machinery industry in China is gradually in line with the international standards, and the society is increasingly demanding machinery talents. Not only do we need to have solid professional knowledge, but also have a certain level of mechanical professional English. The author adopts stratified sampling survey to extract mechanical professional teachers and students to conduct a questionnaire survey. Based on the survey results, this paper analyzes the current situation of teaching English for mechanical engineering specialty of applied college, and puts forward some countermeasures for improving the teaching of ESP for mechanical specialty of applied undergraduates.
